Short description
This small bronze depicts a fighting bull: its head is lowered, its back is bent and its front left leg is raised behind. There are many versions of this bronze in various collections; they are all thought to have been fused in the first half of the 17th century, and are attributed to Flemish or Florentine sculptors from Giambologna’s studio.
