Short description
Santangelo believed this to be a unique and finely worked bronze. Executed in Florence around 1570, it belongs to the late Mannerist tradition and shows influences from Bartolomeo Ammanati and Domenico Poggini. The small dimensions indicate that the work was designed as a bell decoration or a furniture ornament.
